Therapy with Sherry, PLLC

Counseling became a passion when I became a foster parent. It was required that my sons, who I would later go on to adopt, participate in therapy. I witnessed first-hand the benefits of a non-biased and non-judgmental space to process. Soon after, I made a decision to pursue my LPC license. My internship was at a juvenile justice facility. During my time working with felony youth, I helped my clients find value in themselves as they transitioned into adulthood. I was able to meet them where they were and help them see their potential and the positivity they could bring to society. I continue to have a passion for young people and enjoy working with pre-teens and teens. I walk alongside them as they navigate family, friends, and their futures. My passion for helping people goes beyond adolescents. I consider it a privilege to work with people of all ages who are struggling with suicidal thoughts. In those darkest moments, courageous people are making the decision to continue to live and that takes tremendous bravery.
